CustomerReplies

Identity verification, single sign-on and white-label

Recognise signed-in customers, sign your team in with your identity provider, and use your own brand.

Identity verification
On your server, compute HMAC-SHA256 of the user id (or "id|email" when you pass the email) with the secret from Widget & embed, then call CustomerReplies.identify({ userId, userEmail, userHash }) (or set window.CustomerRepliesSettings before the script). Verified chats show a badge in the inbox, and the email stands in for order and billing checks. The WordPress plugin does this for signed-in WordPress users.

Single sign-on
Under Settings → Workspace options, add your OpenID Connect provider (issuer URL, client id and secret) for your email domain and register the redirect URI shown. Your team then uses Continue with SSO on the sign-in page; first-time sign-ins join the workspace with the role you choose.

White-label and custom domain
Set your brand name and link to replace ours on the widget and share page. Add a custom domain with a CNAME to us and a TXT record to verify it.
